This remarkable bottling from this now closed distillery is from the first year of distillation after the rebuilding in 1965. After just  four years of opening in 1898 panic struck in because of events not too dissimilar of todays credit crisis and the doors remained closed for over 60 years. Sadly the doors closed again in 2002.

This superb malt was distilled in October 1965 and bottled by Cadenheads in November 1977.
