The Adelphi company roots go way back to 1826 when Loch Katrine Adelphi Distillery was built on the banks of the river Clyde in the Gorbals district of Glasgow. Although distilling ceased in the early 20th Century and the site was demolished by 1971, Adelphi Distillery Ltd was revived, or the name at least, in 1993 since when the business has run purely as an independent bottling organisation. They now have a well earned reputation for releasing some outstanding examples of rare and vintage single cask whiskies.
