This unbelievable 17 year old Islay single malt was laid to rest at the Ardbeg distillery in July 1974 and bottled for The Scotch Malt Whisky Society in July 1991.

Drawn from second fill sherry cask at a natural strength 56% ABV, this is one of 263 bottles that scored an utterly mind-blowing 95 points with the WhiskyFun gang. Quite possibly one of the best Ardbeg's ever released ...and yet another gold star for the folks at the SMWS!
