A stunningly rare 26 year old Islay single malt that was distilled at Ardbeg on the 30th August 1974 and bottled by the Scottish independent bottler's, Kingsbury & Co. Ltd in September 2000.
Kingsbury was founded in 1989 by Eaglesome, a Campbeltown-based luxury delicatessen. Eaglesome was later purchased by J. & A. Mitchell & Co., who turned it into one of the region's finest merchants and predominantly bottled whisky to sell to the Japanese market.
The Kingsbury brand is responsible for of some of the most desirable whiskies ever released, including a Bowmore 1966, and a number of Ardbeg's - with this one right at the top of the pile!
One of only 278 bottles filled from single cask at 50% ABV that scored a gargantuan 95 points with the WhiskyFun fellows and comes in superb condition with original presentation carton - see images for detail.
