Product Details
This very rare 37 year old Highland single malt was distilled at the Banff distillery on the 4th March 1971 and bottled by the Dead Whisky Society on the 6th August 2008.
Banff was founded in 1825 and saw some tough times during its existence, including having to relocate in 1863 after a devastating fire and surviving an enemy aircraft bombing in 1941 during WWII. The resilient distillery finally caved during the dark period for the industry (AKA the 1980's) and sadly closed its doors once and for all in 1983.
Taken from cask number 633, this cask strength limited release is one of just 565 bottles that scored a fabulous 90 points on WhiskyFun and comes with original presentation case and COA.
Note, there are some minor scratches on the presentation box.
