This outrageously rare 25 year old Highland single malt was laid to rest at the Ben Nevis distillery in September 1990 and bottled in October 2015, at a natural strength 61.3% ABV, exclusively as Mr Taketsuru's Single Cask.
This extra special cask was filled by Mr T. Taketsuru on the 28th September 1990 to celebrate one years ownership of the Ben Nevis distillery under Nikka Whisky Distilling Co. Ltd - of whom Mr Taketsuru was Deputy Chairman. It also marked the return to distilling for Ben Nevis, who had been out of production for 4 years.
Sadly, Mr Taketsuru never got to sample this great whisky as he died in 2014 aged 90 and just one year before 235 bottles were filled from remade hogshead number 1.
Supplied in great condition, complete with original wooden presentation case, this is an extraordinary piece of Scotch whisky history and is very highly sought after.
