The Lowland distillery, Bladnoch, is Scotland's most southerly distillery and was established in 1817 by Thomas McClelland. It is nearby to the famous Scottish book town, Wigtown. The distillery was mothballed in 1993, and although there was intermittent production through the 2000's, it appears the stills have been fired up again for good after a £5m investment from the new Australian owner in 2017. Characteristics: Grassy, lemony and soft.
