Signatory Vintage Special

The Signatory Vintage Scotch Whisky Co. was founded in 1988 by Andrew Symington, who had previously managed the distinguished Prestonfield House Hotel in Edinburgh. A Signatory Vintage bottling plant was originally based in the Newhaven area of Edinburgh. In 2002 the business acquired Edradour distillery, taking over from Pernod Ricard, and subsequently moved all of its operations to Pitlochry, Perthshire.

The company has been responsible for some superb examples of single cask, natural strength whiskies over the past few decades and is now one of the largest independent bottlers in Scotland. We are going to take a look at some of their exceptional ranges and bottlings here: -

The Dumpy Bottling Series from Signatory Vintage features some incredible single malts from highly desirable distilleries, with plentiful examples of super rare and long-aged vintages. These releases were bottled using the methodology of only filling cask strength, non-chill filtered exceptional single casks. The results speak for themselves, with many legendary bottlings originating from the back catalogue, such as; Ardbeg 1967 30yo Cask 1140, Glenfarclas 1959 35yo Cask 1814, Laphroaig 1966 31yo Cask 1093, Macallan 1965 29yo Cask 1058 and Rosebank 1967 26yo Cask 4397/8, to name but a few.

There have been many other exceptional bottlings under the watchful eye of the SV experts, with series such as Rare Reserve, Silent Stills, Cask Strength and Anniversary Bottlings all making impressive waves! These include, but not limited to, the likes of; Bowmore 1970 34yo Cask Strength #4689, Glenugie 1966 31yo Silent Stills #5082, Isle of Jura 1966 32yo 10th Anniversary #1485, Macallan 1966 34yo Rare Reserve #4182 and Strathisla 1968 31yo Millennium #2776

Long may the company continue to churn out outstanding expressions, their contribution to the indie bottling market has been unprecedented. Click here to view all of our Signatory Vintage bottlings we have in stock.
