Product Details

This remarkable bottling, from the now closed Caperdonic distillery, is from the first year of distillation after the rebuilding in 1965. After jus four years of opening in 1898 panic struck in because of events not too dissimilar of todays credit crisis and the doors remained closed for over 60 years. Sadly, since the resurrection the doors closed once again in 2002.

This superb malt was laid down at the Speyside Caperdonich distillery in October 1965 and bottled at 80 proof by Wm Cadenhead in November 1977.
