This Speyside single malt is the second release in the Family Collector series from Glenfarclas that celebrates the six generations of ownership by the Grant family. This sophomore installment was bottled in honour of George Grant, who was from the second generation of the Grant family and lived from 1830 to 1890.
Distilled at Glenfarclas in a combination of three Oloroso sherry casks (one butt, two hogsheads) during 1956, this 57 year old masterpiece was bottled on the 15th July 2014. Cask number 1762 was filled on the 1st June 1956, cask 1774 on the 5th June 1956 whilst cask 2356 was filled on the 30th October 1956.
A limited release of just 660 bottles, this heavily sherried monster comes complete with mighty fine leather presentation case.
