This well matured Speysider was distilled at the Glenrothes distillery in 1998 and bottled, from sherry cask number 015190, in 2012 to commemorate the Centenary Anniversary of the Titanic.
This is one of just 100 bottles released by Berry Bros & Co, whom on the 17th April 1912 received notification detailing the loss of 69 cases of wine and whisky aboard the RMS Titanic. It was, of course, later revealed the ship had sunk 2 days earlier.
This bottling commemorates the unfortunate link between the ill-fated liner and Berry Bros & Rudd. The bottle and design were chosen to replicate the Edwardian style of the whisky lost in the depths of the Atlantic.
