Product Details

In October of 1973, two sherry casks were filled at the Highland Park distillery with new make spirit, with this offering being the result of cask 11167. Both Casks were sent for bottling on the 22nd February 2001.

One of just 524 bottles bottled at 50.4% ABV, this Orkney Isle malt is rich and peaty with mellow oak flavours thus making it invariably different from its much smokier sibling, cask number 11151.

So, the big question remains; just why are the two casks so dramatically different when housed in the same conditions just feet apart from one another? This could be one for Perry Mason!
