Product Details

This 3 year old Lowland single malt was laid down at the Lochlea distillery in 2018 and bottled as the first release in an annual series of limited seasonal bottlings in 2022.

The Sowing Edition represents Spring and when the sowing of the seeds begins for that years barley.

Lochlea was once home to the Bard of Ayrshire himself, Robert Burns, who lived and worked at the farm from 1777 to 1784. The family-run farm grows and harvests their own barley and has an on-site water source, making this a unique and exceptionally green operation.

This First Crop release was matured in 100% First Fill Bourbon Casks and is one of 7,000 bottles filled at 48% ABV.
