Ooh, Matron! Here’s an ultra rare Macallan vintage single malt to feast your eyes upon.
This 18 year old Speysider was distilled at The Macallan in 1980 and specially bottled as the Extra Special “Matron’s Millennium Malt” for The Nevis Estate - a 15,000 acre area of land in the shadow of Ben Nevis owned by Sir Cameron Mackintosh, who is one of the most influential musical theatre producers in the world; responsible for hits such as Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Phantom of the Opera and Cats.
The label states ‘A little drop of Matron to get you through the next 1000 years. Privately matured in her nether regions of Western Scotland.’
Incredibly rare, this private bottling has hardly ever been seen on any market place. Not supplied with a presentation carton.
