Product Details

This landmark half-a-century-old single grain Scotch whisky was laid to rest at the North of Scotland distillery in December 1970 and bottled by Douglas Laing in January 2021 for their Xtra Old Particular Black Series - a range that pays homage to their finest and rarest antique single cask whiskies stocks.

Yielded from single refill barrel number 14548 at a natural cask strength 40.7% ABV, this Lowland grain is one of only 215 bottles that comes complete with a stunning pitch black presentation case and signed COA.

The North of Scotland grain distillery only began production in 1958, but it had sadly fallen foul to the dark era of Scotch whisky and closed its doors for good in 1980.
