This outstanding 15 year old straight Kentucky Bourbon whiskey was selected from Pappy Van Winkle's private stock and presented to us at 107 proof (53.5% ABV) for their Family Reserve series.Drawn from heavily charred American oak barrels, this limited edition Pappy is released in very small batches annually, with demand far outweighing supply, and continues to receives lavish plaudits and status.
This mighty fine Bourbon recently took home the title of Best American Bourbon Whiskey Age Statement at the World Whiskies Awards 2016.
There have been four generations of Van Winkle's working for the company since Julian Van Winkle III was joined by his son Preston in 2001. The Van Winkles decided to move all distilling to the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky in 2002 - previously it was produced in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
