This sensational 28 year old Lowland single malt was laid to rest on the 16th June 1965 at the long-lost Rosebank distillery and bottled by Signatory Vintage in November 1993.
Drawn from Sherry cask number 2498 at a natural strength 53.4% ABV, this exceptionally rare beauty is one of just 180 bottles that scored a colossal 93 points with the experts at WhiskyFun and comes complete with presentation case and signed COA.
Rosebank distillery was mothballed in 1993 and remained in this state until it was sold to housing developers in 2002. It was rumoured that discussions were had, circa 2009, to redevelop and reopen Rosebank distillery, though these plans had soon been scuppered when apparent thieves broke in and stole copper equipment. The good news is that it now has new plans to reopen in 2020. Fingers crossed!
