This spectacular Campbeltown vintage single malt was laid down on the 31st October 1967 at the Springbank distillery, matured for 20 years in sherrywood cask numbers 3131-3136 and then specially bottled for Prestonfield House of Edinburgh in 1988.
Prestonfield House combines both worlds of history and contemporary luxury in one unique experience. Built in 1687, for a close friend of King James II, it has gone on to welcome many fine dignatries.
The stunning decanter, designed at the world renowned Glencairn Crystal Studios by the late Master Engraver Jim Drysdale, is numbered as bottle number 150 and features an engraving of Prestonfield House with a rather dashing peacock at the forefront of the imagery!
Supplied complete with peacock-topped-stopper and well kept presentation case, this highly desirable collectors piece scored a gargantuan 94 points on the well regarded critic site, WhiskyFun.
